Layer 1: Eliminate Capital Destroyers * Remove companies with high leverage (excessive debt). Remove consistently loss-making companies. Remove companies with consistently negative cash flows [11:44]. Layer 2: Eliminate Capital Eroders Remove businesses where Return on Capital (ROCE) < Cost of Capital. Even if they are profitable, they are destroying value over time [13:02]. Layer 3: Eliminate Capital Imploders (The Valuation Filter) Remove "market darlings" that are great companies but trade at "bubble" valuations. Even a great company is a bad investment if you overpay [14:51]. Layer 4: Identify Growth Vectors From the safe, well-priced survivors, identify companies exposed to massive "Growth Vectors" (themes) like Defense, Railways, or Power/Digital Infra [17:58].
