NX Block Trades

Developed by William O'Neil of Investor's Business Daily, CANSLIM is a method of screening for stocks based on the folllowing seven characteristics. The following qualities must be present in the company for it to be considered a CANSLIM stock: • C=Current Earnings: Earnings per share increased by at least 25% in the most recent quarter. • A=Annual Earnings: The average compounded annual growth rate over the previous five years was higher than 24%. • N=New Highs: The stock is emerging from a period of consolidation and is only 15% away from setting a new 52-week high. • S=Shares Outstanding: There are currently fewer than 50 million shares outstanding, and trading volume has recently increased. • L=Leading Stocks: A Relative Strength Value (RSV) of 80 or greater indicates that the company is a market leader. A RSV of 80 indicates that during the previous year, the stock outperformed 80% of all other equities in the database. • I=Institutional Ownership: Institutional ownership should be limited, but at least one significant institution should hold a sizable amount of stock. • M=Market Conditions: The market edge should have a bullish "market posture." There won't be any options during times when the posture is bearish.
