Largecap undervalued

Book value of a stock is arrived at by subtracting the liabilities from the assets, i.e. if company liquidates today, each shareholder will get this amount as per number of shares held by her. Say, the face value of a stock is Re.1, and there are 50 stocks of the company. The total assets of the company sum up to Rs.200, and liabilities to Rs.100. Hence, net worth of company is Rs.200-Rs.100 = Rs.100. Thus, book value of each stock is Rs.100/50 = Rs.2.
