The Co. was established in 1936 as The New Bank Ltd. and was carrying on banking services. The banking business of the Company was taken over by the Govt. of India in the year 1980 and after the nationalization of the banking business, the Co. changed its name to NBI Industrial Finance Co. Limited & since then the company has been carrying on business as an NBFC.
