Corporate History & Ownership Changes[1]
Andhra Cements Limited has undergone multiple ownership transitions over the years from the Bennett Coleman Group to the Duncan Goenka Group in 1994, followed by the Jaypee Group in 2012. Following severe financial stress and plant shutdowns between 2020-2023, the company underwent CIRP. In Feb'23, the NCLT approved the resolution plan of Sagar Cements Ltd., which infused Rs. 322 Crs. and acquired control of the company. Andhra Cements is now a subsidiary of Sagar Cements[2] and part of the Sagar Group.
