Print-to-Digital transition:[1]
The company was incorporated in 2005 as a JV between the Essel and Bhaskar groups and launched the Mumbai edition of the English daily DNA. Bhaskar Group exited in 2012, while the company continues to identify itself as part of the Essel Group.
All print editions of DNA and Zee Marathi Disha were suspended in October 2019. The Mahape, Navi Mumbai printing press was closed and its land, building and machinery were earmarked for disposal. Property, plant and equipment had reduced to ₹0.02 crore by March 2026; there is no current newspaper circulation or printing business. [2] [3] [4]
